The Decker Bar & Grill at Looe

The Bullers, as it is affectionately known by the locals, is a real beer drinker’s pub offering a selection of fine ales, wines, spirits and soft drinks. A new guest ale is offered almost every week, as are promotions on other products available to the licensed trade.

The staff are young and vibrant and always willing to have a laugh, which is why it is a  popular pub with the locals in Looe.

The Bullers is rumoured to be haunted as it was a morgue and coffin store in its former years. There is a ‘coffin hole’ above the bay window in the bar and this is apparently because the curve in the stairs made it too difficult to carry coffins that way!

On a more cheerful note, Landlady Paulene Faulkner always makes and effort to entertain her guests with live music sometimes up to three times a week but always on a Sunday lunch time from 3pm till 6pm. This features local talent as well visiting musicians. The themes for the music vary from Folk through to Jazz, so there is likely to be music to suit all tastes. New Year’s Eve in particular is ‘party night’ where the staff and customers alike follow a themed fancy dress.

.

Snacks and hot drinks are also served daily. Children are welcome but requested to keep their distance from the bar. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on a lead. Disabled access is to the rear of the bar. Smoking is permitted throughout until otherwise informed.

All in all, the Bullers is an all round, welcoming bar with good entertainment to suit everyone.

The Bar is open seven days a week from 11.00am to Midnight.
